August 25, 2011 – Volunteer planting on Mitigation Ridge in Port Fourchon, La

I arrived on the second day of planting at the Mitigation Ridge in Port Fourchon.  There was lots of work to be done with a reported 7,000 (+) marsh grasses ready to be put in the ground.  The heat was pretty intense and I worked steadily along with the other 10 or so volunteers only pausing a couple of times to take photographs.
